In aspects, the present invention discloses a circuit breaker having two sets of contacts. The two sets of contacts includes a set of fixed contacts located at one end of a first metal tube of the circuit breaker, and a set of cooperating and movable contacts located at one end of a second metal tube of the circuit breaker. The set of cooperating and movable contacts includes a main contact and an arcing contact. The main contact of the set of cooperating and movable contacts includes a configurable contact finger assembly. The configurable contact finger assembly includes a plurality of contact fingers and a finger holder having a plurality of slots. Each slot from the plurality of slots includes a primary groove accommodating one or more contact fingers from the plurality of contact fingers and a secondary groove capable of accommodating one or more contact fingers.
