The UV-irradiation apparatus according to an embodiment is provided with an irradiation unit, a measuring unit, a detecting unit, a calculating unit, and a display unit. The irradiation unit irradiates ultraviolet rays for treatment onto water to be treated. The measuring unit measures the ultraviolet ray intensity of the ultraviolet rays that permeate the treatment water. The detecting unit detects a deterioration of the irradiation unit in accordance with the ultraviolet ray intensity measured by the measuring unit. The calculating unit calculates the ultraviolet ray permeability with regard to the treatment water on the basis of the ultraviolet ray intensity of the ultraviolet rays irradiated by the irradiation unit in response to a preset setting value and the ultraviolet ray intensity measured by the measuring unit. The display unit displays the detection result of the deterioration of the irradiation unit as detected by the detecting unit and the ultraviolet permeability calculated by the calculating unit. |
