PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an inspection specialized for a character part of a printed matter, and automatically adjust a parameter of a printing process for returning to a normal state if there is any abnormality.SOLUTION: An inspection image acquisition section 213 reads a printing paper (printed matter) and acquires inspection image data. A master image generation section 211 generates master image data from source data of the printed matter. An inspection control section 214 extracts character areas of the master image data and the inspection image data, generates difference data between them (difference image data), inspects an abnormal state (character thickening, character thinning or the like) of characters in the printed matter on the basis of the difference data, transmits control information to a printing device 101 according to the abnormal state, and adjusts a parameter of a printing process. |
