<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer which is capable of reducing work required for replenishment of a detergent and the time relating to cleaning with the detergent.SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer includes: a dispensing probe 16 for sucking, ejecting, and dispensing a sample; a detergent pot 714 for storing a detergent to clean the dispensing probe 16; dispensing probe-moving means for moving the dispensing probe 16; and detergent supply means 73 for supplying the detergent to the detergent pot 714. When the dispensing probe 16 is cleaned with the detergent, the dispensing probe-moving means stops the dispensing probe 16 at a detergent suction position if a surface of the detergent cannot be detected during movement of the dispensing probe 16 to the detergent suction position, and the detergent supply means 73 supplies such an amount of the detergent after the stop at the detergent suction position of the dispensing probe 16 that a surface of the detergent reaches a position higher than a detected position of the surface by a detergent suction distance.</p> |
