The present invention relates to a back light unit and a liquid crystal display device using the same. The back light unit can improve the durability of the back light unit by changing the assembly structure of a large back light unit and further improves reliability by reducing the luminescence deviation of the back light unit. It includes light source fixing parts which have light sources and are arranged in the side of a bottom cover; and a light guide plate which is received in the bottom cover and receives light from each light source to a light entering surface and emits the light to a front side. A first assembly fixing part consisting of fixing holes and protrusion parts is respectively formed in the center part of both sides of the bottom cover. A second assembly fixing part consisting of fixing holes and protrusion parts corresponding to the first assembly fixing part is formed in the center part of both sides of the light guide part. The first and the second assembly fixing part are respectively assembled and fixed to a fixing clip part formed in the center part of both sides of a panel guide.
