The present invention relates to a lithium electrode and a lithium secondary battery including the same and, more specifically, to a lithium electrode which comprises an electrode complex including porous metal current collector and lithium metal inserted into pores formed on the metal current collector; and a lithium ion conductive protection film formed by being coated on at least one side of the electrode complex, and to a lithium secondary battery including the same. According to the present invention, performance of a lithium secondary battery can be improved by increasing the surface area in which the lithium metal and the current collector contact, the safety of a lithium secondary battery can be improved by preventing growth of lithium dendrite when a lithium secondary battery is driven through regulation of electron dispersion in a lithium electrode, and peeling of a protection film is prevented during charging and discharging of a battery even the lithium ion conductive protection film which prevents formation of lithium dendrite is coated on the surface of the electrode.
