The present invention provides a semiconductor light emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same. According to an embodiment, the semiconductor light emitting device includes: a semiconductor layer; a sealing member which covers the lower side and a side of the semiconductor layer, and project from the side of the semiconductor layer and the upper side of the top of the semiconductor layer; a fluorescent layer which is installed on the upper side of the sealing member; and an insulation film which is installed between the semiconductor and the fluorescent layer, and the sealing member. The corner of a protrusion unit of the sealing member is round. |
