The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a separation membrane for an electrochemical device and the separation membrane for an electrochemical device manufactured by the method. The present invention has improved heat shrinkage and improved peel strength by: applying coating slurry after extracting a plasticizer from a drawn polyolefin film; and then performing a heat setting process in succession.
