PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily input retrieval information on the number and a position of required positioning grooves coincident with an original key, when retrieving a candidate for a blank key.SOLUTION: A blank key retrieval system is composed of a terminal 3 operated by a person of receiving a request for copying and a server 2 connected to the terminal 3 via the Internet 5. The server 2 comprises a control part 21 and a storage part 20. The storage part 20 stores a database for associating respective blank keys and the retrieval information of ranging over a plurality of retrieval items and storing detailed information on a name and a form on the respective blank keys. The retrieval item includes a groove code capable of specifying the number and the position of positioning grooves provided in the blank keys. A control part 21 extracts the candidate for the blank key by retrieving by the retrieval information sent from the terminal 3, and transmits the detailed information on the candidate for its blank key to the terminal 3 by acquiring from the database. |
