PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet taking-in device that reliably sending out paper sheets into a conveyance pipe of a paper sheet conveyance device conveying the paper sheets by an air flow generated in the conveyance pipe.SOLUTION: A paper sheet taking-in device includes: a discharge auxiliary roller 65 provided in an opening of a passage part 40 that is inserted in a conveyance pipe and provided with the opening for inserting a paper sheet; and a second roller 64 that sends out the paper sheet waiting in a curved passage 62 so as to advance along a peripheral surface of the discharge auxiliary roller 65. The rollers are rotationally driven. The discharge auxiliary roller 65 has a shape formed by cutting a part of a circular form linearly, and an arc part and a linear part are brought into contact with the paper sheet alternately to send out the paper sheet to an end thereof into the passage part 40.
