<p>A self-service apparatus service switchover control method and a device thereof. Once a mode switching instruction is received, service is suspended by a self-service apparatus; once a maintenance-dedicated cash cartridge containing banknotes is loaded by a maintenance worker, and once a cash unloading operation with respect to a lower part machine core is completed, the operating mode is switched over to an operating mode in which machine core maintenance and cash service run in parallel, and mode-switchover-completed information is transmitted, thus instructing the maintenance worker to start servicing the lower part machine core, while at the same time, the self-service apparatus is allowed to provide a cash service using the banknotes contained in the maintenance-dedicated cash cartridge. In other words, while the lower part machine core is being serviced, when a client makes a withdrawal, cash provided by the self-service apparatus is extracted from the maintenance-dedicated cash cartridge, and when the client makes a deposit, cash received by the self-service equipment also is deposited into the maintenance-dedicated cash cartridge, thus implementing parallel operation of machine core maintenance and cash services, and increasing the availability of the self-service apparatus.</p> |
