PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device capable of independently storing security information in a hardware device of the storage device, and achieving writing prohibition or reading prohibition of data.SOLUTION: A security information holding storage component is prepared as well as a data holding storage component as means for performing the security designation of writing prohibition/writing inquiry/reading prohibition/reading inquiry or the like about an arbitrary number of data of an arbitrary size. Security information corresponding to the security information holding storage component is stored for each storage unit of the data holding storage component so that when an access request to data is generated, the security information corresponding to the data holding storage region is referenced to perform an operation following the security information.
