<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of suitably suppressing the entry of oil into an exhaust passage.SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine is constructed so that oil flows down along the inner wall face of a crank case 15 and stays in an oil pan. Blow-by gas in the crank case 15 is exhausted through an exhaust passage 43 to an intake passage. The exhaust passage 43 opens vertically downward in the crank case 15, and a cap 50 is fixed to the opening portion. The cap 50 includes a fixed part 52 having a through-hole 51 communicated with the discharge passage 43 and fixed to the inner wall of the crank case 15, and a guide rail 53 extending in a shape to cover a vertically upward area of the through-hole 51 around the opening in the crank case 15. The face on the vertically upward side of the guide rail 53 is a recessed part extending from a portion on the side of the through-hole 51 to the end on the inward side of the crank case 15. The bottom face of the recessed part is gradually vertically downward as extending closer to the end, and gradually deeper as extending toward the intermediate in the cross direction.</p> |
