Provided is a scroll compressor in which the reliability of a release valve device can be ensured. The scroll compressor is provided with: a turning scroll (3) having a turning scroll lap; a fixed scroll (4) having a fixed scroll lap that meshes with the turning scroll lap; a release hole (4c) formed in the fixed scroll (4); an accommodating hole (4b) communicated with the release hole (4c) and larger in diameter than the release hole (4c); a valve seat member (10c) accommodated in the accommodating hole (4b) and having a valve seat surface (10d); a valve plate (10b) for performing a separation from contact with the valve seat surface (10d) by means of a pressure difference; a spring (10a) for pushing the valve plate (10b) against the valve seat surface (10d); a stopper (10f) for securing the valve seat member (10c), the spring (10a) being attached to the stopper (10f); and a retainer (10g) for securing the stopper (10f). |
