PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program-related information processing apparatus and a program-related information processing method capable of improving convenience for a user.SOLUTION: A program-related information processing apparatus comprises: a receiver for receiving broadcast waves; a display detector which detects whether a program of the broadcast waves received by the receiver is displayed on a display; a related information acquisition unit which selectively collects information related to the displayed program from an external server apparatus; and an accumulation unit which accumulates the related information. Consequently, it is easy to browse program-related information viewed by a user, which improves convenience.
