PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic electronic component having excellent reliability and a method of manufacture the multilayer ceramic electronic component.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic electronic component includes: a ceramic body 110 including a plurality of dielectric layers; and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes 121, 122 disposed to face each other with a dielectric layer 111 interposed therebetween within the ceramic body 110, and different from each other in width. Three or more of the plurality of first and second internal electrodes 121, 122 form one block, and the blocks are iteratively laminated. The width of the first and second internal electrodes 121, 122 forming each block increases from the outermost side toward the inside and then decreases. At a boundary of blocks adjacent each other, the internal electrodes having a same width are adjacent, and 0.76≤T2/T1≤0.97 is satisfied where T1 is the longest distance between upper and lower outermost internal electrodes among the plurality of first and second internal electrodes and T2 is the shortest distance therebetween. |
