<p>A method and system are provided for facilitating, in a social network environment, a user's progress towards achieving an objective. The method being conducted at a remotely accessible server includes: creating, in a user database associated with the server, a user profile containing individual user information (204); creating, in an objective database, a plurality of objectives, each objective having at least one associated criterion required to be met in order to achieve the objective; and matching the individual user information to the criterion associated with at least one objective (210). The method facilitates the user's progress by notifying the user if the criterion of the at least one objective has been met and/or enabling a user to apply for an objective. The method may also include creating, in an objective provider database, an objective provider profile (200) including information about the objective provider as well as details of the objectives received from the objective provider.</p> |
