<p>The present application relates to an antiviral and antimicrobial material that can be used to produce fabrics or sheets, intended preferably for the textile industry, as well as for the clothing industry and agriculture. The aforementioned material is suitable for use both in garments and in filters, agricultural containers and other elements which require protection and in which textile can be used. In addition, the invention relates to the production method and to its use in the textile industry. There is currently great interest in maintaining areas, environments and the skin of people free of bacterial germs and microorganisms that damage end products during processing or are harmful to these same people, as with any item equipped with cloth that is to be kept free of agents harmful to human health, products or the surrounding environment. Moreover, at present there is no known cloth that uses copper, with its colour, its particular sheen and, above all, its antiviral and antimicrobial characteristics, that would be suitable for use in implements, clothing, filters or parts of same. The aim of the invention is to provide an antiviral and antimicrobial material that solves the problem described above. The production of the antibacterial material with copper filaments allows said material to be used essentially in garments, safety implements, hygienic elements and filters that must be free of contaminants, to be applied to plant products during packing or when packed, and to be used in assisting in the growing of trees and protecting same since copper plays an active role in the photosynthesis of plants. The invention is based on the creation of a yarn for producing fabrics with a surface that can be kept free of contaminants, such as bacteria, viruses and fungi that are harmful to health, the natural environment, natural products and the surroundings.</p> |
