PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical stapling device.SOLUTION: The surgical stapling device includes: a cartridge assembly defining a tissue contact surface; an anvil assembly defining a tissue contact surface; and a surgical supporting material that is releasably secured to at least one of the tissue contact surface of the cartridge assembly and the tissue contact surface of the anvil assembly. A loading unit includes: a surgical supporting member that is releasably secured, by at least one securing material, to the anvil assembly and/or a stable cartridge secured thereto; and a drive assembly including a scalpel blade, the scalpel blade cutting at least one securing material by the movement of the drive assembly from a proximal position to a distal position and releasing the surgical supporting material from the anvil assembly and/or the cartridge assembly. |
