PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-dispersion type pressure-sensitive adhesive composition from which a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having sufficient removability and enough adhesion reliability can be formed, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed from the water-dispersion type pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesion type optical film having the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on at least one surface of an optical film, and an image display device including the pressure-sensitive adhesion type optical film.SOLUTION: The water-dispersion type pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises emulsion particles having a core-shell structure in which a (meth)acrylic copolymer (A) as a core layer and a (meth)acrylic copolymer (B) as a shell layer are present in the same emulsion particle. The (meth)acrylic copolymer (B) has a glass transition temperature of -10°C or higher and 20°C or lower.
