Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and apparatus for analyzing a URL included in content. A method for operating an electronic device includes detecting a URL from content; analyzing the URL; and displaying an analysis result. Other embodiments are also possible. Therefore, the method and the apparatus enable a user to check information corresponding to a URL before the user connects to the URL.
