PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of suppressing occurrence of cracks in an interlayer inserted into a boundary part between a support substrate and a fuel electrode.SOLUTION: In the fuel cell, a support substrate 10 is formed of magnesium oxide MgO and first oxide ceramic, a fuel electrode 20 is formed of nickel Ni and second oxide ceramic, and an interlayer 15 is in a boundary part between the support substrate 10 and the fuel electrode 20. The interlayer 15 contains a solid solution (Mg, Ni)O of magnesium oxide (MgO) and nickel oxide (NiO), first oxide ceramic, and second oxide ceramic. At atmospheric temperature, when compression stress is applied along a boundary surface near the boundary of the support substrate 10 in the interlayer 15, a thickness of the interlayer 15 is 3.0 to 75 μm, and when tensile stress is applied along the boundary surface, a thickness of the interlayer 15 is 3.0 to 100 μm. |
