<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve target object determination accuracy.SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 10, a processor 15 calculates a curvature of each of a plurality of division points at which a contour line of an image of a target object is divided into a plurality of segments. The processor 15 then calculates values of statistical parameters from a curvature change curve with respect to arrangement of the division points on the basis of a curvature histogram representing a frequency for the curvature. The processor 15 identifies a class to which the target object belongs from among a plurality of classes on the basis of the calculated values of the statistical parameters, and determines an object candidate having a highest correlation for the curvature change curve from among a plurality of object candidates belonging to the identified class as the target object.</p> |
