PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass melting apparatus, a glass sheet manufacturing apparatus, an electrode for glass melting apparatus, and a glass sheet manufacturing method in which a life of a melting tank including electrodes can be made longer.SOLUTION: A glass melting apparatus 101 comprises a melting tank 11 and at least a pair of electrodes 12. The electrodes 12 are provided for through-holes 23 formed in an electrode holding sidewall 22 of the melting tank 11. The melting tank 11 is constituted by laminating a plurality of refractories including first refractories 33. The first refractories 33 are adjacent to the electrodes 12 in a horizontal direction. The electrode 12 consists of a plurality of conductive elements 15 adjacent to each other. When molten glass 90 is stored in the melting tank 11, a dimension of a first gap 51 is larger than a dimension of an electrode gap. The first gap 51 is a gap between the electrode 12 and the first refractories 33. The electrode gap is a gap between the conductive elements 15.
