The first position data is position data obtained by averaging position data on the touch positions respectively detected at detection timings. The second position data is position data on the touch position detected at individual detection timing. The display control module selects the first position data or the second position data to control the display module, based on a predetermined selection condition.

An electronic device, comprising: a display module configured to display, on a display surface, a screen on which a touch operation is performed; a position detection module configured to detect a touch position on the display surface touched by a user; a position data output module configured to output first position data and second position data based on position data on the touch positions detected by the position detection module; and a display control module configured to control the display module based on the first position data or the second position data output from the position data output module, wherein the first position data is position data obtained by averaging position data on the touch positions respectively detected at detection timings, the second position data is position data on the touch position detected at individual detection timing, or position data obtained by averaging position data on the touch positions respectively detected at detection timings whose number is smaller than the number of detection timings used in obtaining the first position data, and the display control module selects the first position data or the second position data to control the display module, based on a predetermined selection condition.
