PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduced-weight power supply system suitable for use on an aircraft.SOLUTION: A universal power converter 15 is configured to receive unregulated DC power from a fuel cell 20. The output of the fuel cell 20 is provided to the input of an EMI filter 45. The output of the EMI filter 45 is common to both an interleaved buck converter 50 and an interleaved full-bridge converter 55. Using a single EMI filter 45 for the interleaved buck converter 50 and the interleaved full-bridge converter 55 cuts back on the number of components employed in the universal power converter 15, reducing its complexity and weight.
