A hydroponic cultivation device has: a first misting unit (13A) for irrigating a plant body using electric power; a second misting unit (13B) for irrigating the plant body using public water pressure; a detection unit (52) for detecting the state of electric power supply necessary for irrigating the plant body by the first misting unit (13A); and a control unit (51) for controlling the second misting unit (13B). When the control unit (51) determines that the electric power supply stops on the basis of the state of the electric power supply detected by the detection unit (52), an on-off valve (72) for public water and an on-off valve (81) for waste water are switched from a closed state to an open state, and irrigation of the plant body is carried out by the second misting unit (13B).
