PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine which can suppress the lowering of NOx purification performance caused by HC which is occulted to an LNT during NOx reduction control.SOLUTION: An HC adsorption amount to an LNT 5 is calculated during the reduction control of NOx which is occulted to the LNT 5 attached to an exhaust pipe 3 of an engine 2 is performed. When the HC adsorption amount reaches a prescribed value C1, the NOx reduction control is interrupted. When the HC adsorption amount to the LNT 5 after the interruption lowers below a prescribed value C2, and when an LNT temperature lowers below a prescribed value, the NOx reduction control is restarted. |
