A three-dimensional object recognition device according to the present invention comprises: an omnidirectional sensor which measures objects in the vicinity in all directions, and generates location information as the result of the measurement whereby it is possible to specify locations of the objects; a three-dimensional measurement device which measures, among the objects in the vicinity, objects within a given measurement range, and generates three-dimensional shape information as the result of the measurement whereby it is possible to specify three-dimensional shapes of the objects; and a control unit which, if the objects are within the measurement range of the three-dimensional measurement device, updates the shapes which are recognized as the three-dimensional shapes of the objects, on the basis of the three-dimensional shape information which the three-dimensional measurement device has generated. The control unit tracks the objects on the basis of the location information which the omnidirectional sensor has generated even if the objects have gone beyond the measurement range of the three-dimensional measurement device. |
