The present invention is an absorbent article and a method for the manufacture of such an article without the need for including adhesives or glues for a construction connection, but rather including melt-fusion bonds respectively bonding, preferably by employing ultra-sonic connecting, more preferably ultra-sonic connecting using a flexible anvil. The present invention is also applicable to open type diapers, diapers with overfolded side margins and pre-closed pant-style diapers. |
