<p>Provided is a novel electron transport material which has excellent heat resistance and high luminous efficiency, and which enables an element to be driven at a low voltage by excellent electron injection properties and electron transport characteristics thereof, while enabling the element to be driven for a long period of time. A benzothienopyrimidine compound represented by general formula (1) is used. (In the formula, each of R1-R4 independently represents an aromatic group which may be substituted by a specific substituent and has 4-66 carbon atoms, a hydrogen atom, a deuterium atom, a fluorine atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, an alkyl group having 3-10 carbon atoms, a methoxy group, an ethoxy group, an alkoxy group having 3-10 carbon atoms, a methylthio group, an ethylthio group, a sulfide group having 3-10 carbon atoms or a diarylamino group having 10-36 carbon atoms; and each of Ar1 and Ar2 independently represents an aromatic group which may be substituted by a specific substituent and has 4-66 carbon atoms.)</p> |
