<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method to input letters of a smart terminal, More specifically, a touch screen; and a controller for controlling the operation of the touch screen are included. The touch screen includes a virtual keyboard including a letter selecting key interlinked with multiple letters; and an information display part displaying a letter selected through the letter selecting key. The controller includes a letter input part sequentially displaying the letters, interlinked with the letter selecting key, on the information display part while the letter selecting key is being touched, and fixing and displaying the letters displayed on the information display part when the touch to the letter selecting key is finished. Thus, the letters are inputted with the least number of letter selecting keys and therefore, the size of the letter selecting key forming the virtual keyboard is made bigger so that letter input is easily performed.</p> |
