<p>Abstract A portable stand 1 comprises a support frame 2, a side table 12 and legs 3 that extend from and support the support frame 2. The support frame 2 has members that form the sides 4, 5 being L-section beams having a horizontal first web 4a, 5a and a vertical second web 4b, 5b. The upper surface of each of the first webs 4a, 5a defines a seating surface 20, with the vertical second webs 4b, 5b forming an upwardly-extending lip. Four leg sockets 6 are connected to the support frame 2.
