The present invention relates to an electrode with improved electrolyte impregnating property, and to a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to an electrode which comprises a first electrode mixture layer coated on the surface of a current collector; and a second electrode mixture layer coated on the first electrode mixture layer. The first electrode mixture layer comprises a first electrode active material, and the second electrode mixture layer comprises a second electrode active material. The particle compression strength of the first electrode active material is smaller than the compression strength applied when performing a pressing process of the electrode. And the particle compression strength of the second electrode active material is similar with or larger than the compression strength applied when performing the pressing process of the electrode. Also, the present invention relates to a manufacturing method thereof.
