<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high-strength coke without large increase in cost by facilitating discrimination of a coal brand that improves the strength of coke by enhancing pulverization of coal and selectively pulverizing coal brands based on this discrimination standard. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: classifying a plurality of types of coals into a plurality of groups; performing, for each group, pulverization of the coal belonging to each group; mixing the pulverized coals of each group to form mixed coal; and charging the mixed coal into a coke furnace to produce the coke. Of the plurality of groups, the coal belonging to a group in which the presence ratio of coal with ash content of 9.0% or more is 50% or more is pulverized finer than the granularity of the mixed coal, and of the plurality of groups, the coal belonging to a group in which the presence ratio of coal with ash content of less than 9.0% is 50% or more is pulverized rougher than the granularity of the mixed coal, so that the mixed coal has a granularity such that the ratio of grains of 3 mm or less is more than 70% and less than 85%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
