A fuel cell system, comprising: a hydrogen generation unit that generates hydrogen-containing gas using hydrogen-containing fuel; a cell stack that generates power using the hydrogen-containing gas; a combustion unit that combusts a prescribed amount of hydrogen-containing fuel and a prescribed amount of oxidizer; a temperature detection unit that detects the temperature of the combustion unit; a determination unit that determines the temperature change in the combustion unit based on the detection results from the temperature detection unit; and an adjustment unit that adjusts the amount of hydrogen-containing fuel supplied to the hydrogen generation unit if a temperature change has been determined by the determination unit. |
