A method and apparatus for controlling a plurality of different systems on an aircraft. A mobile device (162) is connected to an aircraft network (144) on the aircraft. The mobile device (162) is moveable to a plurality of different locations on the aircraft. The mobile device (162) receives input from an operator identifying controls for controlling functions performed by the plurality of different systems (121) on the aircraft. The controls are sent from the mobile device (162) to the plurality of different systems (121) on the aircraft via the aircraft network (144).
