<p>PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to completely shield an air inlet and an air outlet with a cover member when the indoor unit does not operate. CONSTITUTION: The indoor unit(1) of an air-conditioner comprises a base, a main body, a heat exchanger, a fan, cover members(17,18), a cover driver, and a cover supporting plate. The main body is installed at the top of the base, and is composed of a rear case(11) and a front case(12). The cover member opens and closes the air inlet and/or the air outlet formed at the side of the front case. The cover members include a first guide member and a second guide member. The cover driver is installed at the front side of the front case. The cover supporting plate is horizontally installed at the outside of the front case. The cover supporting plate includes a first guide groove guiding the movement of the first guide member and a second guide groove guiding the movement of the second guide member.</p> |
