A bar rolling mill includes alternate vertical and horizontal stands in tandem, the two rolls 8, 81 of each stand being carried in arms 7, 71 which are pivoted about bolts 6, 6<SP>1</SP>. The-free ends of the arms are movable by an hydraulic cylinder 10, the deflection of the two arms being equalized by a meshing joint 12, 13. Alternatively, a meshing gear tooth and recess may be provided, the contact surfaces of the joint, in either case, being of a wear resistant material having good sliding properties.</p> |
