<p>Gear case / gearbox 104 for horizontal / flat / boxer engine, having base plate 302, side wall 304, and internal wall 314. Side 304 and internal 314 walls define conduit 316 to provide fluid drainage path (see arrows figure 4). Conduit 316 may be connected, at opposing ends, with fluid inlet 310 and outlet 320, may be positioned in the gear case lower / bottom section for fluid draining, and may have straining / filtering / sieve area 317 near outlet 320, having studs 318 for trapping debris. Gear case 104 may be connected to valve base / rocker cover (figure 2, 116), which may have drain duct (figure 2, 206) communicating with conduit 316, and also to fluid sump (figure 1, 108). Pumping means (not shown) may pump fluid from conduit 316. Internal wall 314 may be made of metal or polymer. Gear case 104 may be attached to engine (figure 1, 102).</p> |
