Heading D1A [Also in Division F1] Apparatus for feeding granular washing products to a washing machine 3 comprises a reservoir 1 having a metering device 2 positioned above the washing machine inlet 10, and an injector between the metering device and the inlet for conveying the granules to the washing machine and preventing vapour arising from the inlet 10 into the reservoir. Air is fed through pipe 7 into the space between walls 4, 5 and flows thence into slot 8 to induce a flow in inlet 10. The granules pass via a metering device 2 into the induced flow in inlet 10 which prevents and backflow of vapour.</p> |
