#CMT# #/CMT# Process of coloring or lightening human keratin fiber, using anhydrous composition (a) comprising one or more fatty substance and one or more surfactants; a composition (b) comprising mono ethanolamine and one or more basic amino acids; and a composition (c) comprising one or more oxidizing agents, is claimed, when the process is a process of coloring, then the anhydrous composition (a) is free of organic amine and composition (b) comprises one or more oxidation dyes and/or direct dyes. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is included for a multi-compartment device comprising a first compartment having (a); another compartment having (b); and a third compartment having an aqueous composition comprising one or more oxidizing agents. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The process is useful for coloring or lightening human keratin fiber. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The process avoids scalp irritation; provides the hair with good chromaticity; and provides uniform coloring of the hair. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The fatty substance is preferably 6-16C lower alkanes, non-siliconated oils of mineral-, synthetic-, or plant origin, fatty alcohols, fatty acid esters and/or fatty alcohols, or silicones. The fatty substance is present at 10-99 wt.%, preferably 25-80 wt.%. The surfactant is present at 0.1-50 wt.%, preferably 0.5-30 wt.%. The basic amino acids have the structure of formula (R-CH 2-CH(NH 2)-CO 2H), preferably arginine, histidine, and/or lysine. The content is mono ethanolamine 0.1-40 wt.%, preferably 0.5-20 wt.%. The basic amino acids are present at 0.1-40 wt.%, preferably 0.5-20 wt.%. The weight ratio of mono ethanolamine/basic amino acid is 0.1-10, preferably 1-5. The weight ratio of amount of compositions (a)+(b)/(c) and (a)/(b) is 0.1-10, preferably 0.3-3. Preferred Process: The process comprises applying a composition to the keratin fibers, where the composition is obtained by mixing extemporaneously, at the time of use, the compositions (a), (b) and (c). The process comprises applying a compositions (a)-(c) on the keratin fibers, preferably (a), (b), then (c) or (b), (a) then (c), without intermediate rinsing. The process comprises applying a composition (c), then resulting mixture of compositions (a) and (b), without intermediate rinsing, on the keratin fibers.
