PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception device that increases the estimation accuracy of a transmission path response.SOLUTION: The reception device disclosed includes an averaging filter, a coefficient updating section and an initialization section. The averaging filter averages a transmission path response estimate of a received orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal in a carrier direction. The coefficient updating section performs a symbol-specific coefficient updating process of updating a coefficient of the averaging filter according to a predetermined optimization algorithm. The initialization section performs a symbol-specific initialization process of initializing the coefficient of the averaging filter. Specifically, the initialization section decides an initial value of the coefficient for a current symbol on the basis of a convergence value of the coefficient resulting from such coefficient updating processes on past symbols. |
