<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leading edge of a recording medium to be conveyed from floating to improve printing quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image, and a transfer unit that transfers the image formed by the image forming unit to a medium.
