<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting apparatus at emergency for converter waste gas-treating skirt, which can lift the skirt rapidly at the emergency when a regular cylinder is out of order and then the skirt cannot be lifted when the skirt goes down to the vicinity of the furnace aperture of the converter. <P>SOLUTION: The lifting apparatus includes a cylinder 21 for emergency, separately from the regular cylinder 15 normally used for making the skirt 12 go up and down. The cylinder 21 for emergency is always connected to the skirt 12. At the emergency when the regular cylinder 15 is out of order, the cylinder 21 lifts the skirt 12 in place of the regular cylinder 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
