<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make players feel satisfied by enabling them to enjoy not only the results of performances but also the performances themselves. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine has a reel 203 which enables the rotary display of symbols containing those for the jackpot freely and a display part 104 which has a liquid crystal display panel 201 arrayed overlapped on the front of the reel 203 with the rate of transmittance thereof so variable as to make the reel 203 visually recognizable while displaying symbol images and performance images containing those for the jackpot, wherein the game machine carries out performances using the reel 203 and the liquid crystal display panel 201. The rate of transmittance of the liquid crystal display panel 201 is so controlled as to make the reel 203 visually recognizable through the liquid crystal display panel 201 while images which appears to be stopping or restricting the rotation of the reel visually recognizable being permeated are displayed being superimposed on the reel 203 or in the vicinity thereof on the liquid crystal display panel 201.
