<p>A heat exchanging apparatus 10 comprises a first heat exchanger, oil cooler 12, arranged to allow ambient air to pass therethrough and a second heat exchanger, radiator 14, adjacent the first heat exchanger 12 and arranged to allow air exiting the first heat exchanger 12 to pass therethrough. A third heat exchanger is provided comprising two or more heat exchanging cores interconnected in parallel or series, acting as charge air coolers 16 which may be situated at an angle. Each core allows ambient air to pass through. The interconnection may be via a charge air connecting tank (169 see fig 9). A cowl 18 and a fan 19 are also provided. The invention is suitable for off highway vehicles including tractors and is aimed at providing required heat exchange performance despite fitting within vehicular spatial constraints.</p> |
