<p>A frequency control apparatus comprises: an input operation unit that determines whether a predetermined operation by an operator has been input; and a control unit that, when the input operation unit has determined that the predetermined operation has been input, calculates a radio frequency for which the minimum value of the difference between the radio frequency and a multiple of the current drive frequency of a device is equal to or less than a predetermined value and that changes the current drive frequency of the device such that the minimum value of the difference between the calculated radio frequency and a multiple of the drive frequency as changed is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. The control unit changes the drive frequency in accordance with one of two cases: a case where the drive frequency is changed toward the upper frequency side and a case where the drive frequency is changed toward the lower frequency side, said one being the case in which the change amount is less than that in the other case.</p> |
