<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system, a distribution server and a distribution method in which even when up-to-date map data are not stored, route guide prevented from being complicated for a user can be provided. <P>SOLUTION: A road information distribution system includes a navigation apparatus 20 and a server 30 connected to the navigation apparatus 20 through data communication means 40. The navigation apparatus 20 transmits a version of map data stored in the own apparatus and information concerned with a present position and a destination to the server 30. The server 30, when the version of up-to-date map data stored in itself does not coincide with the version of the navigation apparatus 20, searches a server route SR using the up-to-date map data and a navigation route NR using map data corresponding to the version of the navigation apparatus 20. When the server route SR does not coincide with the navigation route NR, the server 30 detects inconsistent sections, searches again a route in which the inconsistent sections are overlapped and distributes an avoidance route obtained by the research to the navigation apparatus 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
