The feed-bar of a fountain pen has the overflow chamber formed by a helical rib 31 on the surface thereof. Ink is supplied to the capillery groove 44 beneath the nib by a rod 36 with a capillery groove 38 extending through the bore of the feed bar. When overflow conditions prevail, ink passes through a single passage 33 from the bore of the feed bar into the rear end of the helical overflow 32. The groove communicates at its front end with an annular air supply chamber 25.</p> |
